Vivekananda Shishu Niketan H.S. School was established on 12th January 1987 with the noble vision of shaping young minds through value-based and holistic education. Inspired by the timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda, the school follows the guiding motto “Man-Making is My Mission.”

Since its inception, the institution has been committed to nurturing students not only academically but also morally, physically, and spiritually. We strongly believe in Swami Vivekananda’s profound philosophy that “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already present in man.” Guided by this ideal, the school places equal emphasis on character building, moral education, physical development, and intellectual growth, alongside a strong academic foundation.

Located in Bishalgarh, District Sepahijala, Tripura, the school has earned a respected position in the region for its disciplined environment, dedicated faculty, and student-centric approach to learning.Our aim is to prepare students to become physically fit, mentally strong, intellectually vibrant, and socially responsible citizens, capable of contributing meaningfully to society and the nation.

MESSAGE OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

He is an atheist who does not believe in himself. The old religions said that he was an atheist who did not believe in God. The new religion says that he is an atheist who does not believe in himself.

The history of the world is the history of a few men who had faith in themselves. The faith calls out the divinity within. You can do anything. You fail only when you do not strive sufficiently to manifest infinite power. As soon as a man or a nation loses faith, death comes.

Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin to say that you are weak, or others are weak.

Whatever you think, that you will be. If you think yourselves weak, weak you will be; if you think yourselves strong, strong you will be.

Never say, ‘No’, never say, ‘I cannot’, for you are infinite.

Even time and space are as nothing compared with your nature. You can do anything and everything, you are almighty. The remedy for weakness is not brooding over weakness, but thinking of strength. Teach men of the strength that is already within them.

This is the great fact: Strength is life, weakness is death. Strength is facility, life eternal, immortal; weakness is constant strain and misery, weakness is death. Men, these are wanted everything else will be ready, but strong, vigorous, believing young men, sincere to the backbone, are wanted. A hundred such and the world
becomes revolutionized.

The world can be good and pure, only if our lives are good and pure. It is an effect, and we are the means. Therefore, let us purify ourselves. Let us make ourselves perfect.

Three things are necessary to make every man great, every nation great:
∙Conviction of the powers of goodness.
∙Absence of jealousy and suspicion.
∙Helping all who are trying to be and do good.

VISION

We are very much enthusiastic about the prospects of our school. As has said earlier ours is an
esteemed school in the Bishalgarh subdivision, District Sepahijala, Tripura. The school has been built in the hope that the students of the school will shine in every sphere of life and they will become perfect citizens of the state and the country as a whole. The students of the school will be full of prospects, potentialities. They will work for the community. It is our vision that in near future the school will be an ideal school and it will put an example in the whole vicinity. The other schools will emulate its examples. It is our vision that the teachers will be full of character and men of free minds. They will not deviate from the path of virtue. They will always lead an honest life and will work for the overall improvement of the students and the school at large. The students will be very much loyal. They will build their character in such a manner that they will be ideal citizens of the country in future. They will emulate the examples of the great personalities of the world who have struggled through their lives for the upliftment of the poor, down-trodden persons of the society. It is our vision that there will be beautiful garden in the vicinity of the school. There beautiful flower will blossom and their fragrance will wither away all the gloominess from our minds. The butterflies of different colours will fly in the garden and taste the nectar of flowers. A beautiful and serene atmosphere prevail in the garden and remove all the gloominess from our minds.

It is our vision that there will be sufficient open spaces in the school so that the children of the nursery classes may get delight in the presence of green atmosphere. It is our vision that sufficient indoor games materials will be there in the school. There should be dance rooms in the school so that students may learn dances in the school. There should be gymnasium in the school so that freehand exercise may be practiced by the students. We visualize the installation of music rooms. We visualise the presence of swimming pool in the vicinity of the school. If possible, hostel should be there so that the students residing in the remotest corners may remain in the school.

We visualize that the school will be surrounded by plantation. It is also our plan that solar energy will be used in the school in near future. We have started promotion of awareness amongst children and parents on environmental cleanliness and environmental conservation. We have plans to segregate waste at sources and to recycle organic waste as well as proper disposal of waste including electronic waste. We have given top priority towards safety of children and staff. We are also planning to evolve safety measures in the event of any external threats/attacks.

This is, in fine, our vision regarding the overall development of the students and the school at large.

MISSION

Statement of Vivekananda Shishu Niketan H.S. School

The school run through the message of Swami Vivekananda’s “Man-making is my mission”. Vivekananda laid stress on man making. We, also are following the same mission of Swamiji. The school is named after this great saint and it is our endeavour to follow his mission in totto, we are also influenced by the following message of Swamiji.

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life-think of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” We are also inspired by the following message of Swamiji, “The more we come out and do good to others, the more our hearts will be purified, and God will be in them”. We have also taken the message of Swamiji as our idea “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached.”

We inspire the students through Swamiji that we should take one idea, just one noble idea and that is our mantra. We should think of it day and night so that our brain, muscles, nerves and every part of our body be vibrated with this single idea and we should brush aside all other ideas from our mind and ultimately, we will reach our goal. We are also very much inspired by the message of Swamiji that we should do good to others and always think of the good to others and by this process, our hearts will be purified and blossomed and God will assist us in our endeavour.

Swamiji’s message of ‘Arise, awake and stop not till our goal is reached’ also deeply stirred us. We should come out of our deep sleep of ignorance and strive to do good to the people and the society at large and we should not stop till our desired goal is reached. With this mission in mind, we are trying to lead the school in the path shown by Swamiji.
